Who is Eligible?

To qualify for the Skala-IB Grant Malaysia, companies must meet the following requirements:

1. Inclusive Business Recognition

The company must possess Inclusive Business (IB) Recognition issued by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP).

2. MSME Status

Applicants must qualify as a Malaysian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME).

3. Annual Sales Turnover

  • Minimum annual sales of RM300,000

4. Employees

  • At least 5 full-time employees

5. Company Registration

Businesses must be registered with the:

  • Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)

  • Under the Companies Act 1965 or Companies Act 2016

  • Operate as Sdn. Bhd.

6. Malaysian Ownership

At least:

  • 60% Malaysian equity ownership

7. Valid Business Premises

The company must operate from:

  • A licensed business premises

  • Possess a valid Business Premises Licence issued by the Local Authority or equivalent approval.

8. Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit:

  • MSME Status Registration Certificate

  • Latest Audited Financial Statements (minimum two years)

  • Latest EPF Statement

9. SCORE Rating

Applicants must possess:

  • Valid SCORE Rating Certificate, or

  • Register for SCORE assessment before submitting the final claim.

10. Community Participation

The proposed project must involve:

  • At least 50 community participants
