Strategic Technology Accelerator Fund (PEMACU) 2.0
The Strategic Technology Accelerator Fund (PEMACU) 2.0 is a research and development (R&D) grant program that provides focused and strategic funding support in line with national goals and the priorities set by the Ministry.
The funded R&D projects are expected to create long-term benefits for industries and communities by using resources effectively and focusing on achieving the targeted outcomes.
The PEMACU 2.0 Fund is offered under two (2) schemes.
-
Technology Development Fund (TeD) up to RM4Mil
-
Strategic Research Fund (SRF) up to RM10Mil

The TeD scheme uses a bottom-up approach based on research and innovation ideas proposed by applicants. The scheme focuses on technology development projects that already have a strong technical foundation and clear commercial potential. This approach helps speed up the process of turning research projects into commercial products or services.

-

-
To improve and strengthen existing technology, product, or process designs towards commercialisation and help bridge the technology development gap (“valley of death”). Technology readiness will be measured using the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) scale.
-
To strengthen the R&D ecosystem through strategic collaboration between Government Research Institutes (GRI), Higher Education Institutions (IPT), and industry players.
