The Smart Technology Uptake programme is an initiative by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Malaysia to encourage and support local businesses, particularly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Mid-tier Companies (MTCs), in adopting smart technologies to enhance their productivity and competitiveness.
The program aims to accelerate the transformation of 3,000 companies into smart factories by 2030.

Funding Assistance
* 50% Government Matching Grant.
* Maximum funding up to RM500,000.
* Covers project implementation and training costs.
* Applicant to fund the remaining 50% of project cost
Eligibility Criteria
* Incorporated under the Companies Act 2016.
* At least 51% Malaysian owned.
* SMEs and Mid-Tier Companies (MTC).
* At least 3 years in operation.
* Valid business licence from local authority.
* Manufacturing OR Manufacturing Related Services (MRS).
