The government will bear half of the total project cost (up to a maximum of RM500,000.00) for project implementation and training expenses under this technology adoption programme. “If the applicant is not prepared to pay for the other half of the project the application will not be considered.”
The objectives of the Smart Tech-Up Award are:
Encouraging the uptake of Industry 4.0 by the Malaysian manufacturers.
Basically, it helps traditional manufacturers to make the strategic shift to data-driven, digital manufacturing through combination of technology and better processes, which boosts efficiency.
The grant will be available to companies in Malaysia that meet the following criteria:
Incorporated in 2016 under Companies Act
Malaysians’ ownership of 51% and above
Company has been in operation as a medium-sized enterprise (SME)
Been in business for three years or more
Having a valid company license
Complex with production or service provision related to manufacturing
Clear project proposal demonstrating the effect of the technology on efficiency.
Smart Techup Recognition Levels: Silver, Gold, and Platinum
Smart Techup is all about the latest smart technology. To qualify you must be able to demonstrate your ability to manage Industry 4.0 skills such as Cybersecurity, Augmented Reality, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Cloud Computing, Robotics, Advanced Materials, System Integration and more.
Depending on the success, participants can achieve one of the three levels of Smart Factory Recognition i.e. silver, gold and platinum.
